Why Instagram Stories Won’t Load

Instagram Stories should load instantly. When they show blank screens, spinning loaders, or error messages, it breaks your experience. This affects Android, iPhone, and web users and typically stems from app glitches, internet problems, or account settings.

Fix for Android

Clear Instagram’s cache: Settings > Apps > Instagram > Storage > Clear Cache. Force stop the app then reopen. If Stories still don’t load, update Instagram in the Play Store. If still broken, uninstall and reinstall the app. Check your internet speed — Stories require at least 1 Mbps to load smoothly.

Fix for iPhone

Restart Instagram by swiping it closed and reopening. Check your internet connection. If on WiFi, try switching to mobile data.
