    I woke up and could not log into my Facebook account. Someone changed the email and phone number on my account. I never received any security alerts. What are the official steps to recover a hacked Facebook account without access to my registered email or phone? I am based in the UK.

    This happened to me too. The first step is to use the Compromised Account recovery at facebook.com/hacked rather than the normal login. From there you can verify your identity and reset your password without needing access to the old one.

    Also check your original email for any Facebook security alerts. If the hacker added their own email you have a 30-day window to reverse that change via a link Facebook sends to your original address. Act quickly on that.
